SHIFT & Life Time Sea Otter Classic - Year 1

Delivering the best possible experience for the media is our PR team’s mission when running communications for some of the world’s biggest cycling events. Naturally.

So when our clients at Life Time Athletic Events shared the Media Survey from April’s Life Time Sea Otter Classic, we were of course eager to see the feedback from the 200+ attending journalists, photographers & content creators thought of the media management & communications around the event, it's fair to say we were pretty stoked by the results.

Some key highlights:

  • 🖊 Over 95% of accredited media rated their experience at the show as either 5/5 or 4/5.
  • 📱 Over 85% rated the level of pre-event communications as 5/5 or 4/5.
  • More than 80% said the all new, SHIFT-created ‘Online Media Hub' was a useful ☕️ addition to this year’s show.
  • 👌 85% said the service they received in the media centre was 5/5.
  • 🦦 100% would recommend the Sea Otter Classic to a friend or colleague.

Fair to say that everyone’s efforts paid off 👏 A true client and agency collab.

We are now deep in 2025 event planning, and want to thank everyone who participated and provided valuable feedback - these insights are key as we aim to make next year even better.
